nerida is thin and dark, often making it easy for her to hide in the deep forests of her home, the faerie glen. her hair falls in dark curls around her shoulders and down her back (though it gets lighter in the summer with all the extra sun), and her eyes are a warm brown. she is strong of foot and lithe of limb, often being seen running amongst deer or climbing trees.
despite the stereotype among humans of faeries being naiive and slow-minded forest-dwellers, nerida and many of her kin are keen-minded and extremely shrewd political minds -- otherwise, the faerie glen would have been taken over long ago. her wit is quick, her manner impeccable, as any royalty should know proper etiquette. she has a special fondness for diplomacy, and prefers to serve her combat and archery prowess for the practice pit and shooting range only.
nerida is, naturally, the daughter of a long, long line of kings and queens. her mother was queen titania, her father king dain. she has two brothers and a sister: larkov, kanoreth, and rhoslyn.
her majesty queen nerida of the faeries was born to queen titania and king dain of the faeries as their first child, much to the rejoicing of the kingdom. from the time she was a young child, nerida (or nera, as her family often calls her) felt the love for nature and for her people that is encouraged in young faeries, and she quickly embraced the idea of leading her people. always dedicated and a determined learner, she soaked in the education she was given, learning everything from magic to herblore to combat. as she came of age, her parents were already rather fading, and did her final grooming for rule rather quickly. after they passed, nerida succeeded to the throne to much rejoicing as the youngest monarch in six generations. though she is still quite young, she has gained insight over the last several years on how a kingdom is run, and how it should be so, and has therefore become a queen who is a boon to her people -- and a huge danger to any threats.
