just in case you're confused about something. it would be helpful if you could only post questions in this thread. it's a bit annoying when people use the c-box. if certain questions get asked enough i'll make an FAQ.

(:
1. your average faerie looks like a skinny, nimble human--and most likely has dark hair (light hair is to faeries what red hair is to humans). however, there's certain sup-species, such as faeries and nymphs, that look more like how you'd expect a faerie to look; wings, colorful hair, petite body. then theres the water faeries, who look closer to sea monsters and mermaids. 2. shifters live the same life-span as humans. 3. magic comes from nature, which is why faeries are so good at it. so when you use magic, you're sort of "harnessing" it from the earth. magic can't create something out of nothing, and it can't bring back the dead.

thank you! (: that helps a lot. one final question (for the moment, haha): if one were to make a faerie, would one simply look up different faerie types online, choose one, and go off of that so long as they meet what's listed here?

well if you're not really bothered about what sub-speccies they are, you can just put "faerie" and leave it at that. but yes, if you're looking to have your character be a specific subspecies you can do that.
